Students complete CLS Program organized by the United States Department of State
“The past 8 weeks - Staying at Chonbuk National University and learning the Korean language and culture – has been the most memorable and meaningful time of my life. I will look forward to furthering my studies in Korean and working in a career field related to Korea.”

The story of a CBNU alumnus who was appointed assistant professor at Harvard Medical School has started to gain national attention.
The subject of the story is Professor Hak-Soo Choi, who graduated from CBNU in Nano Polymer Engineering in 1997(Admission Class of 2003).

President Geo-Suk Suh participates in agricultural volunteer activity, encourages students
President Geo-Suk Suh visited Jungri village, Jucheon-myeon Jinan-gun, to encourage Chonbuk National University students who worked hard for volunteering programs in Muju, Jinan and Jangsu area in July 22.

Chonbuk National University agrees to have a dual degree program with Marne-la-Vallee University
Chonbuk National University(CBNU), President Geo-Suk Suh, agreed to have a dual degree program in film field with Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallee University(MLV).
President Francis Godard of MLV met President Geo-Suk Suh in CBNU in July 11, and made an official agreement for a dual degree program.

Chonbuk National University ran the Feeling Korea 2011 Summer program with sister universities’ students.
CBNU hosted Feeling Korea Summer 2011 with 15 students from Boise State University and 15 students from Paris-est Marne-la-Vallee for the understanding of Korean culture from June 27th to July 8th during two weeks.

CBNU College and Graduate School of Dentistry Alumni donated 40,000,000 won for the sake of university's properity. CBNU planted 3,000 trees for Arbor Day
CBNU had a planting ceremony with 100 faculties including President Suh Geo-Suk on April 4th, a day prior to the Arbor Day.
